It is used for receiving and distributing electrical energy and controlling, protecting, and monitoring circuits. It is mainly applicable to power distribution in power plants, industrial and mining enterprises, and large-scale high-voltage motor startups in secondary substations of power systems. This cabinet can be equipped with ZN63 (VS1) vacuum circuit breakers or ABB's VD4 vacuum circuit breakers.
This product complies with the requirements of GB3906 "Metal-enclosed Switchgear for AC Voltages 3 to 35kV", GB/T11022 "Common Technical Requirements for High-voltage Switchgear and Controlgear", IEC62271-200 "Metal-enclosed Switchgear and Controlgear for AC Voltages above 1kV up to and including 52kV", and DL/T404 "Technical Conditions for Ordering Indoor AC High-voltage Switchgear". Application scope: It is suitable for three-phase AC systems with a rated voltage of 24kV and a rated frequency of 50Hz, including single busbar, single busbar sectioning, and double busbar power systems, and is used for receiving and distributing electrical energy and controlling, protecting, and monitoring circuits.

Structural Features
(1) The KYN28-24 cabinet is divided into four separate compartments, with an enclosure protection level of IP4X. When the doors of the small compartments and the circuit breaker compartment are open, the protection level is IP2X. It has overhead and cable entry and exit functions as well as other functional schemes. After arrangement and combination, it can become various forms of distribution equipment. The enclosure of this switchgear is made of imported aluminized zinc thin steel plate, processed by CNC machine tools, and adopts multiple folding edge processes. This makes the entire cabinet not only have high precision, strong corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, but also, due to the multiple folding edge processes, the cabinet is lighter in overall weight, has higher mechanical strength, and is aesthetically pleasing. The cabinet adopts an assembly structure and is connected by rivet nuts and high-strength bolts. This shortens the processing and production cycle, enhances the universality of components, reduces the floor space, and facilitates production organization.
(2) The handcart frame is made of steel plates processed by CNC machine tools and riveted together. The handcart is insulated from the cabinet and mechanically interlocked, ensuring safety, reliability, and flexibility. According to its purpose, the handcart can be classified as a circuit breaker handcart, a voltage transformer handcart, a metering handcart, etc. The height and depth of all types of handcarts are uniform, and handcarts of the same specification can be interchanged. Inside the cabinet, the handcart has isolation, test, and working positions, and each position is equipped with a positioning device to ensure reliable interlocking. Operations must follow the interlocking anti-misoperation procedure. All types of handcarts are pushed in and out by a nut and a lead screw, which is easy and flexible to operate, suitable for on-duty personnel. When the handcart needs to be removed from the cabinet, it can be conveniently pulled out with a dedicated transfer cart for various inspections and maintenance. Moreover, due to the mid-mounted design, the handcart is small in size, making inspection and maintenance extremely convenient.
(3) Compartments inside the switchgear:
The main electrical components of the switchgear are each in their own compartments namely: circuit breaker handcart compartment, busbar compartment, cable compartment, and relay and instrument compartment. The protection level of each compartment reaches IP2X. Except for the relay compartment, the other three compartments each have their own pressure relief channels. Due to the mid-mounted design, the cable compartment has a larger space, allowing the equipment to connect multiple cables.
(4) Pressure relief device:
Pressure relief devices are installed above the handcart compartment, busbar compartment, and cable compartment. When an internal fault arc occurs in the circuit breaker or busbar, the internal pressure of the switchgear increases. The pressure relief metal plate installed on the top will automatically open to release pressure and exhaust gas, ensuring the safety of the operator and the switchgear.
(5) Interlocking between the secondary plug and the handcart position:
The connection between the secondary lines of the switchgear and the handcart is achieved through a secondary plug. The moving contact of the secondary plug is connected to the handcart through a nylon corrugated tube, and the secondary static contact seat is installed on the upper right side of the circuit breaker compartment of the switchgear. The secondary plug can only be inserted and removed when the handcart is in the test/isolation position. When the handcart is in the working position, due to mechanical interlocking, the secondary plug is locked and cannot be removed. Before the secondary plug is connected, the circuit breaker handcart can only be opened. Since the closing mechanism of the circuit breaker handcart is electromagnetically locked, it cannot be closed.
(6) Live display device:
The switchgear is equipped with a live display device. This device consists of a high-voltage sensor and a portable display. The sensor is installed on the busbar or feeder side, and the plug interface of the display is installed in the low-voltage compartment of the switchgear. When it is necessary to detect whether phases A, B, and C are live, the plug of the portable display can be inserted into the L1, L2, and L3 interfaces. If the display operates, it indicates that the busbar or feeder side is live, otherwise, it indicates that it is not live. At the same time, it can also be used as a phase sequence detector or an electro-optical indicator to detect whether the high-voltage side is live.
(7) Prevention of condensation and corrosion:
To prevent the danger of condensation in high humidity or large temperature variation climates, heaters are installed respectively in the circuit breaker and cable compartments to facilitate use in the above-mentioned environments and prevent corrosion from occurring.
(8) Grounding Device:
A 5×40mm grounding copper bar is separately provided in the cable compartment, which can be connected to adjacent switch cabinets and has good contact with the cabinet body. This grounding bar is used for directly grounded components. Meanwhile, as the entire cabinet is made of aluminized zinc plates that are spliced together, the entire cabinet is in a good grounding state, ensuring the safety of operating personnel and the cabinet.
